Bifrostpixel is an independent game developer with a focus on retro inspired games.
Design philosophy
Old style direct intense gameplay, easy to understand that can be completed in a single 10 - 30 minutes play when mastered.
It all started in the early 80s. ABC 80 and VIC-20 was the first real contact with computer's and an introduction to BASIC programming. I had no computer myself at the time and we were a couple of young guys who used the school's computer that no one else cared about.
Bifrostpixel was unofficially formed in 2012 by me Mikael Barnholdt after a long time of illness and burnout. The idea was to get back to a decent standard of living through the main interest from the youth. Re-create a fixed point of logic in an illogical living and do something I really enjoyed in spare time.
And then...
in 2014 it was finally time to release the first retro-inspired game Gladiex. The game received a warm reception in Swedish National Television (SVT), and was mentioned in a couple of Swedish newspapers and Indie Game Mag.
